| Bio: | ![]() Name: Wren True Name: Renee Hopkins Gender: Female Age: 19 Birthday: 13 May 2003 Greatest Ambition: To write the first novel since the 'end' of the world. Physical Description: 5"8, bright red hair that stands out a glow any time of the day. She's quite a beanpole but inherited all the curved genes from her mother and thankfully doesn't look completely like a boy, though that's not to say she doesn't think she does. She has several tattoos' but the one on her side, of the dinosaur, is her favourite as it is her favourite animal. She has several ugly and slightly embarrassing scars on the insides of the tops of her arms, she used to cover them with long sleeved shirts and jackets but now as they have faded she doesn't think about them so much. Distinguishing Marks: Wren thinks she is one of those plain individuals, the ones that don't really have much to make them stand out, except her candy bright hair colour. If she had to pick a feature she guesses it would be her tiny eyes. Sexual Orientation: Straight but she doesn't object to the occasional ladylove. Single or taken: Single Pringle Best friend: To be decided Personality: Wren hates silence. It's probably a big clue into how she is, always making some sot of noise, humming, whistling, singing, talking until people's ears have fallen off and dancing whenever she can. She's a perpetually happy person, never content with grumpy people and always trying her best to see the good in every situation. It is said that she has ants in her pants, as she can never sit still which is something she never grew out of from childhood. She hates mean people and social and moral injustice drives her crazy to the point of obsession. She talks in 'what if's' and can often be found with her nose in a good happy ending story. It isn't unlikely that you won't find her with her nose stuck in a children's book. Personal History: Growing up in Detroit wasn't always quiet, it wasn't always nice and it wasn't always easy. At first Donna Hopkins wasn't sure it was somewhere she was happy raising a family, but her husband Felix had assured her it was a fine place to raise a child so three years after they were wed Donna gave birth to a healthy little girl, with light blonde hair and sparkling brown eyes, they called her Renee, Renee Louise Hopkins. Renee was a fortunate child, though she was certainly not born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she was born with parents who never shied away from showing their affection for one another and her also. If there was anything Renee wanted to thank her parents for it was showing her what love really was for two people. If there was anything Donna Hopkins was sure of it was that Renee loved to fill a quiet area, as a baby she would gurgle and gabble away telling stories that nobody but her were able to understand, and once she learnt to talk she didn't wish to stop. When Renee started school parents evenings would be filled with comments such as "She's a very chatty bubbly young girl," or "She's distracting and chatty, she has trouble concentrating," though her mother sometimes despaired she would have hated for her child to be a sullen quiet thing. At eight Renee had decided she wanted to take dance classes, her mother had agreed and scraped up the money to put Renee through weekend classes of all sorts of dance that she wished. Throughout middle school and high school Renee had shown a love for acting, for singing and general theatre arts subjects. Being chatty and loud gained her quite a lot of friends; people flocked to her, to listen, to get a taste of what it was like to be friends with the drama department's most enthusiastic student. Though her passion was performing she was aware she also had to finish up in school and while she tried harder than most her head would just not stay in the moment and more often than not during those more tedious lessons she would float off to her own world. She couldn't pull her head from the clouds Though Renee was always smiling it was not to say there wasn't some emotional issues she was battling on her own, some said it was depression, others just a cry for attention for some kid too dramatic for her own good. For whatever reason Renee felt herself finding it hard to smile, she hated that she had to hurt herself to just get a glimpse of what feeling better was but she did it anyway, for years she held the secret from her parents who had yet to notice anything wrong with their perfect little girl. It wasn't until the Christmas play that Renee met Charlie and all of a sudden those sad feelings deep inside her started to dissipate. Charlie was her Christmas miracle. There was no denying the sly looks, the flirtatious touches and then the constant make out sessions in the dark room. There was nobody that could deny there was un-measurable love between her and Charlie. When graduation came about Charlie and Renee had decided to both attend a college in Wyoming and after a holiday filled with family time and unsaid goodbyes both kids set off to start a new phase in their life. Renee grew up quickly, taking the opportunity to grow into herself, and use her body as a signal to her interests, Charlie grew up but not apart and both were still together throughout their first year, through their fights and their own selfishness. Renee had heard some of their friends whispering about marriage but if she was honest with herself she was content to cruise along a bit further. It wasn't until the second year that Charlie got down on one knee and proposed, at a loss for what else to do Renee said yes but both agreed to wait until after college to set any sort of date. Renee had moved into her student house when rumours of a virus were circulating, not one to invest much in gossip Renee ignored most of the chatter until death tolls began rising and making their way into the newspapers. She tried to stay calm, Charlie brushed it off as nothing telling her it was safe to stay, and her parents wanted her to come home. Thinking back on it Renee should have gone home, but as she watched the world fade around her she realised getting out of here was not an option. They'd sectioned off the colleges, urging students to stay inside to stay away, the security numbers increased and Renee started to feel the full weight of what was happening. Not only had they become prisoner to the virus but also the government had gone crazy. For weeks they had been quarantining areas, they were practically putting people under house arrest and not content with staying put Renee pulled together an escape team, perhaps it hadn’t been the best idea but Renee's brain had hardly digested the information. She doubted it would ever truly sink in. When Charlie heard of the escape efforts he point blank refused to go though knowing it was what Renee wanted he urged her to go ahead without him So with tears blinding her she left during the dark and tried not to look back. The group got as far as the edge of the city before some separated confused as to where to really go Renee darted off towards the fields, winding in and out of the greenery to stay hidden, the dark helped none so she stayed put for a few days, abandoned cars laid at the road side and spotting an old van she cautiously checked the inside before climbing in the back and settling down for the night. For weeks she dared not to move, she stayed in the van for as long as she could before hunger really set in and started to make her weary and weak. She needed to find shelter before it was too late and she forced herself further past the fields, almost sighing in relief when she saw the farm house up above. After the war Though not an active fighter, in fact more of an under pressure Nanny with Marmie of the Twin feathers, Wren found herself being less outspoken and day dreaming more often. She became slightly detached from people, worried over the outcomeof the fighting and doing whatever she could to keep her mind off of the turmoil that she'd hidden away from. She's a more paranoid person thatn before, and she rarely trusts anyone, a trait that made her different from others before. There's also her budding relationship woth Cat to figure out. Birth Location: Detroit, Michigan Blood Family: Donna Hopkins – presumed dead Felix Hopkins – presumed dead What tribe do they belong to if any?: Wolves How long have they been with that tribe?: A few months after the founding Personal Strengths: Being positive means Renee makes friends easily, she befriends from any tribe not really caring for rivalry and secrets. Though many may not see it the same way as her Renee considers making lots of noise to help people feel secure, after all there is nothing creepier than a quiet house. Personal Weaknesses: She hates to sit still and it agitates some members of the tribe. Her constant day dreamy state doesn't help her spatial awareness or her grip on reality, which fades with every day. She is constantly imagining things and sometimes finds it hard to determine what was truth and what was fiction. Personal Skills and Training: She's trained in nothing but dancing and singing. She looks after the children mostly finding that the bright colours in her hair draw them towards her, and her excellent story telling abilities. Job that they have in the tribe or whatever they do to keep themselves alive if they’re alone: Nanny of sorts. PB: Reagan Suicide | |||||||||
